NUMERICAL DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF A COMPACT T & s to TEol MODE TRANSDUCER
نویسندگان
چکیده
A high-power low-loss mode transducer design has been proposed to adapt the output of the X-Band klystron, WR.90 rectangular waveguide, to the input of the pulse compression system, SLED II, which utilizes overmoded circular waveguides operating in the low-loss TEol mode. This device is much more compact than the conventional Marie’ type mode converters. The device splits the incoming klystron output into two separate rectangular guides that are then fed into a circular guide through a four-slot arrangement. We will use both MAFIA and HFSS to calculate the transmission properties of the three-dimensional structure. We will also determine the extent of mode contamination and compare the numerical results with experiments.

Development Model for Supply Chain Network Design by Demand Uncertainty and Mode Selection
It is necessary to consider the impact of demand uncertainty to model the comprehensive approach for supply chain network design. This paper presents four echelons, multiple commodity, and strategic–tactical model for designing supply chain network. Uncertain demand, transportation mode selection with lead time configuration has been considered. A numerical example has been implemented to verif...
متن کاملDesign and Production of a Pneumatic Moving Exciter for Determination of Vibration Behavior of Structures in Variable Frequencies
Determination and analysis of vibration behavior of structures for at least first few natural frequencies and mode shapes needs several sensors to be connected at different non node points and exciting the structure at one point. Other method for determination of first few mode shapes is to excite several points of the structure at once and sensing the response from one point. Both methods nee...
متن کاملA novel design of tunable PMD compensator using sampled fiber Bragg gratings with uniform grating period [5642-34]
With the fluctuation of the environmental factors, such as temperature, wind, and atmospheric pressure, the birefringence of a fiber changes along the fiber link and the effects of polarization mode dispersion (PMD) are random and time-varying, which makes it necessary to design a tunable and adaptive Fiber communication; Optical fiber; Fiber Bragg grating; Differential group delay; Dispersion ...
متن کاملFailure Mode and Effects Analysis Using Generalized Mixture Operators
Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) is a method based on teamwork to identify potential failures and problems in a system, design, process and service in order to remove them. The important part of this method is determining the risk priorities of failure modes using the risk priority number (RPN). However, this traditional RPN method has several shortcomings. Therefore, in this paper we p...
متن کاملDAMAGE IDENTIFICATION BY USING MODAL EXPANSION AND TOPOLOGY OPTIMIZATION IN THREE DIMENSIONAL ELASTICITY PROBLEMS
In this paper, topology optimization is utilized for damage detection in three dimensional elasticity problems. In addition, two mode expansion techniques are used to derive unknown modal data from measured data identified by installed sensors. Damages in the model are assumed as reduction of mass and stiffness in the discretized finite elements. The Solid Isotropic Material with Penalization (...
